Do not go gentle into that good night

As of Monday morning, I took my last dose of Doxycyclene, Azithromycin, and Rifampin. My 3:00pm appointment with the LLMD stopped the continuation. I relapsed about two weeks ago; when I say relapse I mean fevers followed by dizziness followed by heart pains followed by etc, etc, etc. I pose that with the evacuation of my infected tooth, that it released a load, a nice big one. I also explained to him about the recent liver and spleen pain that has been ailing me for the last week. He said," Time for Plan B." Obviously the rifampin has been hurting me and the efficacy has been outlasted; it's bittersweet to see it go.

But now I'm on Azithromycin 500mg qd and Septra 500mg bid for one month. If I don't get better, call him. Septra is good for Bartonella and Brevundimonas but makes you susceptible to hives. Yeah, more hives, yeah, more Benedryl, yeah.... =(

BTW don't you love how mainstream MD's look at you like you are crazy? I went to the cardiologist to check out the chest pains and she thought I was nuttier than a fruitcake when I told her about these wierd bugs inside me. Just the look. She does want me to go to an infectious disease doctor. I'm still considering.

Most abx prescribed for Brevunimonas is usually a CAP of IV abx from 3-6 weeks depending on severity. I want to go to a IDD, but I'm afraid of that look we all so warmfully receive. I'm not sure if an IDD can culture it, let alone see it. If I get worse, this is my next step; no more LLMD, no more messing around.

I will leave with this. I herxed 1 hour after my first dosage of Septra and continue to herx throughout today as well. I drank my lemon juice and water and felt slightly better than before. It's feeling is very similiar to what I have experienced when first starting Doxy/Azithro and my first encounter with rifampin. Just a plain, outright wierd feeling and tired.

I will let ya'll go. If you have any questions, let me know and I appreciate ya'll looking

PS It's odd not having to regimen my meals according to the Rifampin dose or vice versa.

PSS I'm ready to have a beer. It's been 1 year and 2 days since I've had one. It will be a little more before I partake.

Hey Chris, I know that look you get from the mainstream doctors. I had one endocrinologist tell me I needed to see a shrink. I was crying in his office because he said there was nothing wrong with me. You would love the book I am reading called Surviving Mold by Dr. Shoemaker. This is the missing piece of my recovery that both my doctors are looking into right now. I have found mold in several parts of our house. We had a slab leak a few years ago that has been repaired but I am going to investigate where the mold is coming from. I think it may be a large plant in the backyard that collects water and needs to be seriously cut back. I have not found any mold on walls as we tore out a lot of them during remodeling. He also has a web site called www.surviving Raven

Feeling 98% well-going for 100. Very low test for Cpn. CAP since 8-05 for Cpn/Mycoplasma P.,Lyme, Bartonella, Mold exposure,NAC,BHRT, MethyB12 FIR Sauna. 1-18-11 begin new treatment plan with naturopath

Hi, Chris,  I am sorry you are having so many problems.  I was wondering how your root canal extraction went.  Amazing about the other bacteria that was found in you.  Keep us posted.

Hang in there... yes, those weird looks are discerning, so are the comments. I had a pulmonary specialist (after being hospitalized because I couldn't breathe last Fall) tell me "not to think about it" and I wouldn't cough and I could breath.  (This, after running the standard tests which concluded nothing was wrong with me (yeah right, LOL)

He also said "taking ABX as long as I had was totally unecessary", my current high IgM and IgG titres were invalid; and, implied my current doctor was a quack and giving me false promises of treatment.

Interesting about the mold, Raven.  I actually took the VCS test on his chronicneurotoxin site over 2 years ago and tested positive on Part A and Part B.   When I was having the breathing problems last Fall--I tested high for several molds as allergens.  I just attributed it to the Fall season and the outdoor-type of molds.  We live on a hill that has an underground spring which runs beneath our home....... hmmmmm.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Actually I didn't mean to sound so pessimistic about my health, I snapped right back to the better a few days later. I'm getting used to it. I'm actually kind of excited to know that this IS a bacteria(s). Just the nature of the beast.

I'm 5 days into the new abx and I've been herxing bad since Wednesday. Much worse than the Rifampin herx; much more precise symptoms instead of a broad spectrum. Septra/Azitho and Bartonella/Brevundimonas = no fun!!!

I forgot to say the LLMD was really impressed with my progression. That made me happy to hear. One thing he checks is a tongue balance, he said it was much better. Never knew you can see it there!

Raven, I have heard about Dr. Shoemaker's work on mold early on into my research. I will revisit it  and look more into it. I'm glad you are closing in on everything!

jeanne, what comforts me with MD's is that I know I'm on the right track. No one can ever convince me otherwise. The EKG technician listened to my story as we performed the study. After it was done, she told me sincerly something I will never forget, "Don't fall into the system. Keep going, you are on the right track."

Night ya'll!
