CPN getting a start w/out antibiotics

After the reaction I had to my first NAC supplement a few days ago, and researching CPN and it's possible connection to my conditions (Interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia and PCOS), I have decided to start trying to combat any possible CPN infection. Starting today I am going to up my vitamin D dose from 4000 to 5000 iu, take 300 mg NAC and add in some natural antibacterials like raw garlic, berberine, and oregano oil. At night I will take activated charcoal on an empty stomach. As my flu and other symptoms subside, I will slowly up my vitamin D dose (up to 6-7000 iu) and NAC dose (to about 1800) and continue taking and rotating the antibacterials. Other supplements I take are B complex, magnesium, copper and zinc. Along with this I will continue my lower calorie, moderate starch, 0 sugar diet that I have been following for close to a month. Hopefully this will help at least slow down any progression of an infection. I hope to be able to tolerate a higher vitamin D dose and NAC dose in about 1-2 months. At that time, I plan to find a doctor who will prescribe antibiotics, and be able to afford treatment.

Sounds like a sane, intelligent plan! Isn't it nice to be able to DO something about being sick?!

Something else you may wish to read about, and possibly consider, is Lauricidin.  Here is a list of the pathogens it targets.  Quite a few here use it... I strongly suggest to start out with a minimal amount, though, to see how you react.  I still can only take 1-2 pellets (not scoops as it recommends).

Thanks for your replies.

jeanneroz,

Is this the same  component that is in coconut oil? Though I suppose it is more concentrated. Coconut used to be an enormous part of my diet. I will consider this, thank you!

Yes, it is but you may wish to read their website as they explain more indepth why Lauricidin is (supposedly) superior to just monolaurin or coconut oil.

I think you have a good protocol jonnasaays

I get my abx from a place called healthwarehouse online and it's pretty inexpensive

One thing the owner of the company that sells Lauricidin told me was that Lauricidin heated up has been more effective for some, so I tried it

I heated Lauridicin along with coconut oil, it tasted bad but it was more potent

DAILY:  NAC 2400MG , DHEA sublingual , vit D3 , multi vits,./ Three times  a week: B12 injections (Hydroxycobalamin). Deer antler./  Once every few months methyl B12 Methyl injections

That is a good plan.  At least one of the expert doctors who treats Cpn prefers to build the patient's immune system before using antibiotics.

Started CAP for Cpn on 11/14/10 - Per my doctor, paused Abx 5/18/13 - NAC, T3, St Johns Wort, B-complex, Vit C, Vit D3 (8,000/day), Vit E, Astragalus, Chlorella, Chelation with Alpha Lipoic Acid. Started Buhner protocal (2nd edition) on 8/30/16.
