Cpn Doctor needed near Boston MA
I am a 40 year old female(born 1966), I have been dxi with MSi since 14 years old(1980). From 1980 to1996, I walked with a cane or nothing.
In 1996, I went into the hospital with Pneumonia. I got increasingly worse. I used a walker for 4 years. Since 2000 I have used a wheelchair.
I live an hour from Boston ,Massachusetts, USA. Please help me know what doctors know about the MS- Clamydia connection. Are there any doctors in Boston, MA?
Thank you,
Woody

Welcome Woody, My husband has SPMSi. Our Salem daughter is supporting herself as a bartender at Legal Seafood while earning her RN. At her Legal job she has made the acquaintance of several neurologists, and with our Worcester daughter, she organized her own MS research fund-raising event last year Between those two spheres of exposure, we hope she can unearth someone for you. The challenge will be finding a doc with guts and an open mind.
In the meantime, use the search window on this site to find sammyjo's reference to a list of Lyme Literate/Friendly docs who are already familiar with the concept of longterm antibiotic regimens. Jim K also has made reference to another list of specialized doctors to a new user looking for a doctor in Connecticut. You'll find help in many different forms on cpnhelp.org (not the least of which are moral support and signposts). Small world, Cypriane! Welcome to you, Boston Woody! See, all you have to do is ask! We'll help any way we can, having been down your road ourselves. While you wait for responses, tell us how you found cpnhelp.org? (By the way, Boston is my very favorite city. You get out of that wheelchair and I will personally walk the Freedom Trail with you, whichever color line you choose.)

Hi Woody,
I live in Connecticut. My husband has been diagnosed with "early MSi", and we are in the process of searching for an MD who is willing to treat MS with abxi. I will send you a private message with info about local CT doctors.

Woody, There is a Boston connection in Jim K's "Astrodiana's Remission..." blog. A few years have passed, but maybe the same doctor is still the head of the infectious disease department at Boston University Hospital...if not, maybe you can track that doc from that point. Cypriane

Yes...my friend saw a female doctor who was then ( I would say this was about 2000 or 2001) the Head of Infectious Disease at Boston University Hospital. I believe that other docotrs who worked with her at that time were also conversant with the cPni treament. I would certainly try calling that Hospital and inquiring about it. I can't imagine that treatment for this would completely disappear frmm that hospital since it was so successful with my friend.
