Conversion Charts?
Does anyone have a link to a reliable conversion chart for supplementsi?
Given the high doses of some of these we need to take I'm trying to make absolutely sure I get it right but depending on where I buy them they have confusing amounts and I have failed to find anything reliable for working out what is what.
For example, my current batch are labelled with mg, mcg, iu and µg

Andesine, mcg and µg both stand for micrograms. I know that there a quite a few metric converters out there, but I'm not sure about International Units, but for the others - 1000 micrograms = 1 milligram, and 1000 milligrams = 1 gram
Here is a conversion chart I use sometimes:-

You see this is where I have the problem. My Vit D is 1000iu which is fine as the recommended daily dose is 4000iu so I take 4 capsules.
My B12 is 500µg. I'm trying to take the recommended 4000mg which, by the above calculations, seems to mean I need to take 8000 tablets a day! or am I having a complete fog moment.

It's brainfog :-) You need to take 5000 micrograms (mcg or µg) of B12 3 times per day. This is the one we get

I got the following from David Wheldoni's supplementsi
Vitamin B12 - 4000mg several times a day/ once daily after 3 months
DUH, just double checked and yes, it's mcg not mg. LOL, 8000 tablets does seem a little extreme and yes, I just ordered some stronger ones.
Memo to self, don't try and work all this out at ridiculous a.m. in the morning.

Ande,
if we can't laugh at ourselves where would we be??
I take 5 sublingual tabs of B12 5000 mcg each a day as I have read a bunch about what shortages can cause. It is also water soluble & not really stable for long periods of time.

Laugh at ourselves? I'm in hysterics. Or should that be hysterical.
I decided to order the B12 from Vitacost and checked through my box full of bottles to see if there was anything else I needed to renew and guess what...... B12 sublingual 5000mcg. Sigh. Had it all the time. I just kept picking up the old bottle of low strength stuff I got from the local health store. I have now extracted all the normal person dose versions so I don't mix them up again.
On the bright side, my other half now has more supps than he knows what to do with.
