Since I think Darren is on holiday at the moment, if anyone can offer bernf any help and advice, please post it under the thread "UK treatment." Thank you!

I would get Stephen Buhner’s book Healing Lyme second edition. Be sure it’s the second edition as he has a section on treating Chlamydiae. All kinds of Chlamydiae. But pay attention to the herbs he talks about and how they sabotage Chlamydiae from living in the body.
Sabotage is more effective that outright killing with antibiotics because of issues like resistance and cell efflux pumps.
I did many years of combination antibiotics for Cpn which were very effective. But it is an airborne infection for the most part and I was still working as a teacher with lots of sick students.
I stopped abx in Jan 2011 and by the time I retired in 2016, symptoms were back.
I had a choice of going back on abx but read Buhner’s book.
I was convinced it would work and it did. I do a month of herbs and one month off. Then go back on for a month.
The herbs are readily available on Amazon and other sites.
Give it a try.
Another thing to consider is mold exposure. If you are one of the 24% who have bad detox genes, watch out for mold! It will derail any recover and it is very, very common.

Good luck,
Raven

Feeling 98% well-going for 100. Very low test for Cpn. CAP since 8-05 for Cpn/Mycoplasma P.,Lyme, Bartonella, Mold exposure,NAC,BHRT, MethyB12 FIR Sauna. 1-18-11 begin new treatment plan with naturopath

Thanks for the reply Raven. its good hearing that the protocol dose work. Ive ordered the herbs from that book so its just a waiting game for them to arrive now. Ive not looked into mold but I did live in some grimy appartements in Greece 6 months before this all started so I do this this could be part this issue

Hello RAven Your post is very interesting to me as I too have recently relapsed after a new CPn infection following 9 years of good health after doing the CAP. I have started back on the abx but I will hope to maintain my recovery using herbs when I feel the CPn is dealt with again - it's encouraging to hear that you have had success with Buhner's protoc.

Agatha, do you take NAC? I believe the recommended dose is 1200 twice a day. Please correct me if I misremember! ANYONE! Rica

Hello Rica Yes, I have taken 2400mg NAC daily for the last 9 years! Except for a few days about 3 weeks before my recent relapse when my husband was ill and I forgot. I seem to have contracted a new CPn infection during that time - terrible luck!

Rica, you are right about the dose when on the protocol, but now I am just taking 600 mg once a day, or sometimes twice a day in the winter flu season. That is just my choice though: not a recommendation!

Thanks for your post Raven! I too have tried the herbal protocol recommended by Stephen Buhner and had intense detox symptoms, so it must have been working. After the 30 days of the herbs (which Buhner recommends) I had some of the best days I've had in years. However, that did not last and I'm going to have another 30 day stint. I've never been on the CAP but have "many of the symptoms" described by others on this site eg: interstitial cystitis, tinnitus, chronic arthritic type inflammation, vision issues, rosacea (bright red burning face) etc. I'm open to any suggestions and wonder if there are any physicians on the west coast of Canada prescribing the CAP protocol?

I’ve found a website where you can order the buhner protocol herbs as a package, but you need to make your own tinctures. Is there anywhere in the UK we can buy the tinctures ready-made?

Diagnosed RRMS 1999. No DMDs or other meds. Have done TMJ correction, Candida protocol, CCSVI venoplasty procedure.

Tufty, look up Napier's herbalists: they have long list and the prices are in sterling. They are a Scottish company formed by Duncan Napier in 1860.
