Got to get worse before getting better, right?
only been taking abx for three days and my walking is terrible. I should expect things like this? Will doing Epsom salt foot baths help get rid of toxins?

To be honest I’m not taking NAC currently as it makes my rosacea a lot worse. I know I should be taking it and this might help die off (that’s actually a question for someone ?)

I am....taking my NAC, that is. Twice a day - every day. Why are you not? Did someone tell you this is "easy as pie"? Someone else said it is so worth it. So...just do it. Every day.

Rica, I told him not to worry because it isn't needed whilst taking the bacteristatics. I didn't start it until about 14 months, as I said just below here!
Completed Stratton/Wheldon regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years, three of which intermittent. Still improving bit by bit and no relapses since finishing treatment.

I didn't start taking it until I had started on intermittent protocol, so don't worry: if you are taking the two bacterial synthesis inhibitors you don't really need the NAC.

I really can’t believe I’m feeling this bad after only five days of abx and next week I plan to increase the dose and introduce the other one. Today I can barely put weight on my left hip. Just read another thread about die off and this appears to be quite normal and shows the abx are killing something but I’m naturally still worried

Tuftyone - I really wouldn't rush into increasing doses or introducing the next abx until you feel you are tolerating this one at the current dose. You need to listen to your body. Remember - it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Thank you you’re quite right. No point in rushing things

Boadicea... I will take your sentence... "it's a marathon, not a sprint."
It is a beautiful way to describe it. :)

tuftyone,
you wouldn’t be human, if this didn’t scare you. Katman gave me some good advice, when I was still early in my treatment, i was lucky, just Doxy and Roxy gave me the ability to walk further and faster, BUT not for long, and, yes it has been 2 steps forward and one back, ever since. And now, a year and a bit later, improvement continues in the same way, but, i’ve been able to do so much more than for years! Keep strong and not disheartened. You’ve made the first step, and you must know how the Chinese proverb goes, this journey is long, but, you’ve begun! Congratulations!

Sounds fairly typical to me…
Sounds fairly typical to me. Yes, things get worse before they get better. And it tends to be a constant 'two steps forward, one step back'. We get used to reminding ourselves that here! Epsom salt baths and footbaths definitely helped me. But always start steady and build up, as even detoxing can make you feel worse at first.
