NAC test

I have MS and plan to do the NAC test shortly. If I see no flu-like symptoms do i defeinitely not have CPN??

thanks

No, but it's been our cheap and easy way of confirming you DO.

As with all tests, confirmation means confirmation, but lack of reaction to NAC doesn't mean you're cpn-free.

(My reaction to NAC was so slight, I almost missed it entirely and I KNEW what to look for!)  lol

thanks, thought so :/ taking Abx scares the sh*t out of me)

did you go on to do the protocol? (obviously you did Sarah!)

Diagnosed RRMS 1999. No DMDs or other meds. Have done TMJ correction, Candida protocol, CCSVI venoplasty procedure.

Are you asking if I went on to do the protocol?

I reacted, badly, to NAC, and it’s only now I realise that, although indescribable,  my symptoms must have been cpn, so don’t only look for flu!

I had big reactions to NAC. I had had chronic sinusitis for many years as an adolescent: it involved low-grade pain. This pain returned, decades later, when I took NAC, but did not last long.

Individual reactions to NAC vary enormously — from nothing to ’flu-like symptoms — depending on the extracellular load of C. pneumoniae elementary bodies.

Can I write to you directly about helping obtaining the correct CAP prescription and also the right approach to my GP please? I've previously primed my GP but I need to re-visit this in the right way

Thanks

Thank you for your comments. How long is it advisable to take NAC for initially? If I get a flu-like or any other type of reaction, do I continue? and at what point do I re-approach my GP to obtain ABx if I'm confident of the presence of CPN?

NAC is still on my twice-a-day pill session, and will probably be so for my every day pill consumption. It apparently keeps the dragon from my door.  I have no desire to repeat those years.  Stay with it - I think you will be happy that you did.

been taking NAC for a few days and no reaction at all yet :/

my MS has always been quite mild compared to others (despite being diagnosed 20 yrs ago) so maybe the CPN load is quite small?

actually, i've had a bit more mucous than usual and a few headaches.... and my rosacea is a bit worse

I say my MS is quite mild but  I'm definitely going down hill :/
