Surely, that post should say 200 mg of doxycycline and not 100 mg

Hey ....I tried to post against Michele's entry but was unable to.Does that Entry mean that I have been overdosing on doxycycline by 100% for the last three years or so or is there an error in the text?   It is my understanding that the Wheldon protocol advises that dosage of doxycycline is ultimately 200 milligrams per day!SmileG

You mean where it describes the Wheldon protocol? It says 100mg once a day. Then add azithro/roxi. Then, when they are tolerated, add another 100mg of doxy. That gives you the 200mg total. Seems ok. That's what I did.

Yes Bo ...that's exactly what I meant. This goes to show one thing; that I am a man of many talents and can make many things - including mistakes! If I have misread it or misinterpreted it, then maybe so will some newbie.   When people first come here they find things are very difficult - much more difficult than they need be.   I know that I have stated over and over again in various posts of mine that doxycycline should be started at a dose of 100 milligrams per day and then ramping up to 200 milligrams per day when well tolerated. Of course always adding the rider that doxycycline should be taken with food and lots of water and precautions against sunburn. G.
