Correcting typos etc after posting

I have noticed that sometimes I can edit my error and sometimes not. Sometimes in the same thread some posts allow it and some do not include the edit option. Is there a simple way to state when editing is not allowed so that I can be more careful with my typing and editing prior to posting in those situations?Thanks, Louise

I think it's set up to edit your own comments, and blogs, but not forum posts. I'll have to check. The difficulty we ran into was someone deleting major post, which deleted all the attached comments as well, some of which had been quite detailed.

Louise, It's been that way for awhile now. Hit and miss. I've gone back to doing the 'preview' thing before posting, even though it's smaller and harder to read than just posting and re-reading for types. Uhh, typos. (Had to go back to edit that..)
