Chorella

Body

I am taking 2 grams of Chorella powder twice daily to mop up endotoxins. It tastes awful, but has worked incredibly well for me. Thank you Sarah for recommending it! Does Chorella absorb medications and supplements the same way Charcoal does? I read that Chorella works best as a mopper when taken about 30 minutes before meals. I take my antibiotics right after meals. I am concerned that the Chorella might absorb them. Does anyone know the answer to this question? Thanks, Marianne

Marianne - so glad to hear that the Chlorella is helping you.  I'm a great fan, too.  Chlorella doesn't have to be timed away from the abx, in the way charcoal does.  It's fine to take it with anything.

What have you tried to put it in to absorb the taste?    What about a small amount of applesauce?   Something a bit thick that goes down fast might help the taste situation.    Even plain yogurt might cover the taste.   Louise

I imagine the advice to take chlorella 30 minutes before a meal has to do with it being in place when a meal activates bile.  The bile contains the toxins that need to be absorbed. There is a thread on here somewhere talking about eating some fat after charcoal to stimulate bile flow.I just take chlorella tablets so taste isn't an issue.  Has anyone here tried the tablets and the powder and found the powder to be more effective?

Started CAP for Cpn on 11/14/10 - Per my doctor, paused Abx 5/18/13 - NAC, B-complex, Vit D3 (50,000/week), Niacin (100 mg/BID). Started Buhner protocal (2nd edition) on 8/30/16. Currently using a blend of Buhner's Cpn and Mycoplasma protocols

No so sure if the advice to avoid taking Chorella near abx applies as I do not full understand the way it functions to absorb toxins.    Charcoal will bind many things,  ChitosanUltra and Cholystyramine bind fatty substances and the toxins are fatty in nature (simple explaination).    How the chorella works has not been explained that I have read but some find it satisfactory for their situation.    I tried it but it was not enough of a binder for my extensive needs.     So good that it is working for you.    We all sort out our particular solutions,  what is great here is that people discuss uptions for folks to investigate and choose from.    Good luck.     Louise
