Brisbane Community Screening of Under Our Skin Saturday 1 June 2013
Infexion Connexion is staging a community screening of the Lyme disease film Under Our Skin at Brisbane Girls Grammar School on Saturday 1 June at 6:00pm. This US documentary is considered to be the world’s most articulate coverage of the disease from the perspective of the sufferer and the doctors at the forefront of the medico-legal battle to treat the disease effectively. We are holding a post-screening panel discussion with three Lyme disease doctors and a Lyme disease patient (a Cpnhelp member). There will be a state member of parliament in attendance as well as doctors, allied health professionals and representatives of environmental agencies. Of course, it’s not just about Borrelia; it’s about the co-infections as well, including Chlamydia pneumoniae. When you get bitten by a tick, you never know what else you’re getting in the goody bag.
Brisbane people: please show your support and come along to this event. Bring family, friends and by all means your local GP. It’s a compelling and dramatic documentary, and the post-screening panel discussion is shaping up to be a real humdinger. We still have a number of seats available. Please email InfexionConnexion [at] gmail [dot] com for free tickets, stating name, phone number and number of tickets required.
This is our chance to talk about Cpn and other intracellular bacteria in a public forum with doctors who are open to hearing about it and about people's treatment experiences.
