After 10 months on the Stratton version of the protocol there are definitely signs of improvement, sadly my prescribing physician (rheumatologist) has retired and moved out of state so I need to find a replacement.

Immediate Help requested !! just finished my second pulse of Flagly and have come down with a probable Cellulitis infection  My GP prescribed Flucloxacillin say's I must stop CAP, what to do?
It's Friday and of course have been unable to reach any CAP doctors for a second opinion.
I was on day three of my second Flagyl pulse when I awoke to intense itching coming from my little toe radiating up to my sacrum. Figured it was my athlete's foot returning and applied some cream and went back to sleep. By day five of my pulse my little toe was looking quite swollen and red.

Whoops am I high on B12 ??

Ok Feeling very strange today to say the least Embarassed

Been taking  all the supplements I could easily find for a couple of weeks now in Prep for starting abx.

I was taking 2mg (Swanson) B12 Sublinguals a day without any side effect.

Well since starting the NAC I have  been having a lot of lower back pain in the night and read on someones blog that taking the B12 helps with that,  so I had a couple more B12's early last night (for a total of 4mg for the day) to see if it helped me sleep.

My Doc says he will support ABx therapy but its not one of the standard protocols Help !!

I had Some very Good news today.

As I failed to respond well to other treatments for my uSpA, I just spoke with my US Doctor and he is willing to support me on ABx. Yeaa !! I am so excited  Smile

However his experience with ABx was obtained doing a study under Dr JD Carter at USF with a very simple protocol of doxycycline 100 mg twice daily and rifampin 600 mg daily for 9 months.

Great for a for a short study  but as a long term treatment protocol I'm not so sure??
