Betwixt 19 and 20...now what??

Submitted by kitkat2 on Thu, 2007-12-13 00:04
I have been counting the days since pulse 19 and waiting for some sign of improvement to indicate when pulse 20 should commence, but no such luck. The myalgia/inflammation set in within 3 days of starting #19 and has remained firmly entrenched. Advil round the clock helps a bit. Pain has cropped up in surprising places: neck, shoulders, tight, ropy spinus erectus muscles have been the name of the game making ambulation so trying that I have found myself in tears just attempting the simplest things. I think I feel worse than I did two weeks post pulse. I admit some of it must be posture-related as I have been too tired to do much. I can be tough about this, but I fear another pulse may just worsen things further?? Am I wrong? -kk2

So, what's the rush? It's Christmas! Give yourself a break, girl; you've made some serious changes in the protocol lately and it sounds like your body is getting socked by cpn-kill. Eat fruitcake, drink eggnog and be kind to yourself for a minute!

Ella and I sometimes find that the fall out from kill goes on for a lot longer than the time the flagyl is clearing from our body.   May be a knock on effect from the immune system recovery.   As Mac says give yourself a break....

I agree, toxin reactions.  Take more of your toxin cleaners & lay low.  If you have plans over the holidays you can pulse afterward.  You will know when it is time.

That is my plan.

KK2, I would wait until after Christmas. Let it clear. You did such a huge dose pulse that it will most likely take longer to clear the critters than after a normal pulse for you. I am just impressed that you could do a 1500mg/day for 5 day pulse. kc dx ms 1996. started cap 10/05. Started with tini pulses switched to flagyl pulses. Now almost on continous 500mg flagyl but do need breaks. On doxy 200mg/day azith 250 mwf and NAC 700mg. ldn 2.0mg.

Watch your stomach, if your stomach starts paining you stop the advil and tell your doctor you may just need some real pain control. (if thats what you want). Trying to take anti inflammatories for less then decent pain control can be a wicked thing indeed not only for your stomach but for your unneeded suffering.

manycatz, Thanks for the reminder about otc pain relievers. I have been a bit queasy but had been blaming it on the abx. I am now alternating with tylenol which has helped that. I appreciate everyone's advice and have decided to wait until I have at least recovered my baseline symptoms, which will most likely be after Christmas. Season's Greetings everyone! -kk2 :)
