Asthma- Flagyl Pulse- Longer Than Five Days?

Submitted by Myao on Fri, 2009-10-23 22:06

I've been on the Weldon protocol for 13 months now and usually pulse Flagyl for five days.  Is there anyone out there that has experience with or knows about pulsing longer for better effect?

Myao.... you may want to read the "Getting Started" tab about the different protocols.... the ultimate goal (originally) was to work up to tolerating and taking all three ABX continuously.

 http://cpnhelp.org/treatment_protocols

"In the beginning of your treatment the pulse may be only one day long, as you tolerate the CAP you can increase the number of days you take the Metronidazole. Well into the treatment you may want to increase the number of days you take Metronidazole (or Tinidazole) beyond the 5 days recommended."

I have been on the protocol since April 07 and am just now tolerating full 5 day, full pulses of Tini.  If you can take it longer than 5 days... go for it, but stop if you get to feeling too bad.  The aftermath may come several days after you stop.

I'm sure others who pulse longer will have input.
