Are your Vitamin D results accurate?

Dr. Mercola has alerted us to problems in the measurement of Vitamin Di testing from different labs. He also explains the process of measurement nicely. Worth looking at if you've been tested from Quest. Thanks to Dr. Powell for sending this alert on.

Thanks Jim, this is a fine

Thanks Jim, this is a fine kettle of fish for Quest labs.    My initial in range result 5/07 was from Quest.  My subsequent results from local hospital lab sent who knows where, first was just over 20 so very low 12/07 could have reflected my sporatic multivit ingestion due to nausea, repeat in 5/08 was WNL (within normal limits) after D3 loading doses but important for me is I do not know local hospital sends their specimens to for this test, I do know it was sent out.  So for me, this is really something important to be aware of, many thanks to your sharing this communication through the website.  I will ask more information with my next testing for D3.
