pc's blog

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and still have a lot to learn about Cpni. About me:

-41 yr old male

-Grew up in Michigan

-Suffered with extreme headaches for 25 years

-Not able to think clearly at times for the past 10 years

-Suddenly lost hearing in right ear w/ EXTREME vertigo about 8 years ago

-Diagnosed w/ MSi by three seperate neurologists about 6 years ago based only on MRI

-Still have dizziness pretty regularly

-Tinitus remains in my right ear 24/7

-Lately my left ear has been feeling full and just not right which is quite scarey since I am on the phone all day long as a commercial real estate investor so my one good ear, my mouth and my brain are my livelihood.

-Stiff neck almost all the time

-All my joints are regularly stiff and cracking, including knees which are also painful

-Last year, my wife and I went to Brooklyn to see the most experienced interventional radiologists who treats CCSVI. After nearly two hours on the operating table I asked him how it was going he said I DID NOT HAVE CCSVI and asked if I was ever tested for Lyme disease. I told him that I would think so since I was diagnosed w/ MSi by three neurologists. He said that he had treated 150 patients with MS and I was the first one without CCSVI.

-When I got home I contacted the neurologists offices and none of them had tested me for Lyme. So I got tested, once with just the simple titer test which came back negative and then again with the Western Blot and titer and again it came back negative (first with Quest and second time with LabCorp).

-I continue with what feels like some kind of an infection. My sinuses are often filled with mucus and even small amounts of blood. Often times, when coughing, my lungs feel hot and burning, and I cough up greenish yellow mucus from them.

So now I would really love to find a doctor who can help me. I'm in Florida if anyone knows a good doctor that could guide me I would appreciate a referal. I read the article by Dr. David Wheldonii and Dr. Charles Strattonii regarding MS and Cpni. I bought N-Acetyl Cysteine 600 mg capsules and am planning to start taking 4 per day to see if I start draining a lot.

So the N-Acetyl Cysteine can actually kill off the Cpn?

Thanks,

pc

P.S.-I emailed Dr. Charles Stratton at Vanderbilt and he said my physician can easily test for Cpn w/ a blood test and attached a "Serological Testing for Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Chlamydophila psittaci, and Chlamydia trachomatis infectionsi by IFA" form from ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City. But I would rather have a knowledgable doctor order the test.

Get a copy of test results??

I am very happy for you!  :)  lolol

Did you get a copy of the test results?

I went to my regular doctor's

I went to my regular doctor's office this morning hoping that he would just agree to test me for CPni and then I could take the positive diagnosis with me, eight hours away, up to the panhandle of Florida to be treated with CAPi by a doctor that Katherine referred me to. But he not only read the paper by Dr. Wheldon and agreed to test me for the bug, but he wrote two prescriptions to get me started right away! 100 mg of Doxycycline and 250 mg of Azithromycin. He also agreed to email Dr. Stratton at Vanderbilt and get educated about what this is all about.

Hey, I have a question though. Is Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules) OK for me to use? The reason I ask is because a local supermarket offers that one for free.

The difference between

The difference between monohydrate and hyclate is that the first is formulated to cause less gastro-irritation., which for long-term use must be preferable, I would have thought.  However I took doxycycline hyclate with a glass of milk.................Sarah

OK. And I see Walmart has those two and a doxycycline calcium too. Anyway, as long as the doxycycline hyclate is good enough for the doctor's wife, then it's good enough for me. Not to mention that it's free. Ha! OK, so I just mentioned it.

Alright, wait. Does it matter if it's capsules or tablets?

pc

I would imagine that tablets

I would imagine that tablets could cause more irritation, but I have bought the tablets and saw no difference.  I do seem to have a cast iron stomach and oesophagus though: I mean I can swallow 12 chlorellas in one go: David can’t.  You must drink enough water or milk with them, also have a bite to eat and don’t lie down for half an hour................Sarah

A big thanks to Katherine! I think we've got someone in Florida who can prescribe the CAPi for CPni. I'm just waiting for a return phone call from the office to confirm this.

Looking for a Florida doctor

I'm still looking for a doctor in Florida who uses CAPi. Katherine was kind enough to send me the name of a few doctors up in the panhandle area but unfortunately when I called the lady that answered said that they are not accepting adult patients. I guess that means they will accept minors though.

Any help for a Florida doc would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you located in

I am in the panhandle.

South Florida, between WPB

South Florida, between WPB and Ft. Lauderdale. But I will travel to the panhandle for a good doctor. Thank you.

PC, you say more here than

PC, you say more here than you did on ThisisMS.  Since you have begun already with the NACi test and since you have much to lose since you rely on your ears and voice to make a living, why not start treatment yourself.  Private message me and I will give you the address of the best place to buy antibioticsi from.  This is a quite new treatment and very few doctors know about it with regards to MS.  You are in the early stages of the disease so you should be like Mackintosh and end up able to walk away easily.  Ask her about her experience..............Sarah

I sent the private message Sarah

I'm not exactly sure what you mean about starting treatment myself. Don't I need a physician to prescribe the antibioticsi?

pc

It’s preferable that you have

It’s preferable that you have a doctor but there is enough information here to go it alone since doctors who don't think that long term abxi are bad for you are a bit thin on the ground .  I have sent you an address where you can buy abxi at the right dosage without prescription................Sarah

OK. Thank you Sarah. So the protocol begins with 100 mg of doxycycline once a day until it is well tolerated (does that mean without pain?). Also, do I continue to take the NACi when starting the antibioticsi? pc

Thanks boadicea.

I imagine that well-tolerated

I imagine that well-tolerated means until your digestive system can cope with it : I was started straight away on 200mg because of my very rapidly advancing MSi, but I don’t remember much about that time.

You do continue with NACi throughout mainly because it prevents re-infection and saves you having to take yet another antibiotic, amoxicillini................Sarah
