Welcome! This page is a vehicle for links and abstracts related to research on how antibiotics affect the various stages of CPn infections.

CPn resistance to antibiotics in lymphocytes Interesting article and a link to the whole citation too! in the citation itself is this comment "The study reported here clearly demonstrated that the susceptibility of C. pneumoniae to antibiotics was dependent on host cells, even though the results were obtained under only limited experimental conditions" The tested antibiotics were bacteriostatics. It is interesting to read!

Distribution of Azithromycin in to brain tissue, CSF , and aqueous humor of the eye This is a link to the entire citation on pubmed in this excellant study which had people who were undergoing brain surgery take azith first to check for tissue penetration of the drug.

Roxithromycin and toxoplasmosis: a review of studies This interesting review cites numerous studies that support the use of roxi in brain issues as the concentrations of the drug in brain tissue is far greater than in the serum.

Roxithromycin in treatment of Lyme. NOt strictly Cpn but intereting for it's perspectives on tissue concentrations particularly as impacted by combinations

Sarah--

I hope I'm putting this in the right spot---I opened up the Research tab and then opened up the link for Antibiotic Research.
