Hi,
After Paula has taken her 14 days of Ivermectin in the new year, she will start on the Amoxicillini 500mg twice per day. By then she will also be on 2400mg of NACi.
She has a 2 month supply of Amoxy. It was suggested in an earlier post that maybe the doc has perscribed Amoxy, knowing she is already taking NAC, to give the EBi's a big kick where it hurts!
Paula would rather not take the Amoxy full time because there will be enough die-off of good bacteria with the other abxi's that she will be taking eventually (even with taking acidofilus).
So I have two questions to ask:-
1) Should we continue the Amoxy after this two month course (We will be taking the 2400mg NAC every day anyway)?
2) I know that you should take all antibiotics away from the mineral and acidofilus supplementsi (as well as not within 2 hrs either side of charcoal), but how long a period of time should you wait before taking the minerals & acidofilus?
As soon as she can tollerate the Amoxy, we will ask for the Doxyi.
Thanks guys and girls!
Mark.

Historically NACi was introduced byDr Wheldon to replace amoxycillin as it did the same job but was kinder to the GI tract and supports the liver. Most of us do not take amoxycillin, but I know that there are a few people that do and maybe they will get back to you with their experience.
The important part of the protocol is the twin bacteriostatic abxi, either doxycycline and azithromycin or doxycycline and roxitromycin which in tandem prevent the reproductive cycle from happening and therefore prevent resistance to the antibiotics.
So amoxycillin would be taken in addition to the other two antibiotics.
It is essential to address all the cycles of Cpni, so amoxycillin or NAC addressed the EBs, and doxi and azi address the RBs, Flagyl addresses the cryptic phase of the cycle.

Hi, Thanks Michelle. We
Hi,
Thanks Michelle. We are thinking about forgetting about the Amoxy and just continuing to reach the full dose of NAC instead. I notice that you also reside in the UK and presume you get your abxi online. Could you point me in the right direction for a good online pharmacy (preferably that doesn't ask for perscription)?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark I use two online pharmacies, edrugnet.com and inhousepharmacy.co.uk, the prices are comparable but I usually check both. If you can get a prescription though I have been able to get 112 doxycycline for £11.27 from pharmacy2u.co.uk.

I am no doctor Mark, but
I am no doctor Mark, but that seems like alot of anything to be taking daily. Maybe just hold off until the NACi is better tolerated. We don't want to take a sledge hammer to poor Paula.
