Here are common UNTRUTHS (misinformation & disinformation) about Activated Charcoal Powder, that have been disseminated for MANY years, plus PROVEN TRUTHS about Activated Charcoal Powder. "Activated Charcoal shortens the time it take an intoxicant to leave the system and decreases the duration and intensity of symptoms. I have found that people who take Activated Charcoal after drinking alcohol or taking recreational drugs such as cocaine or amphetamines recover quicker."I know for a fact that AC does not absorb alcohol  (if that is what he is implying). I just researched that. The toxic by-product Acetaldehyde must be converted to Acetic Acid. AC does not help this process. Pantethine and Molybdenum help quite a bit though. From my understanding AC is an indescriminate absorption substance. It is not an intelligent computer. It will capture what it is physically, electrically or chemically attracted to. It doesn't know the difference between good and bad. Sometimes our own living immune systems cannot determine what "is body" and is "not body".http://www.cpnhelp.org/why_does_charcoal_help_cp

But, being real here, we are not a bunch of drunken sailors, and, for the most part, the main purpose of OUR taking charcoal, whether capsules or slurry, is to clear the sludge.  And I can say that without a doubt, it does its job.  Over the past five years, I have taken dozens of bottles of charcoal, twelve capsules at a time, and to my great surprise and relief, it made a big difference.  Like everything else in our world here, it takes a long, long time, and lots of persistence.Rica

Your "untruths" have not been untrue for me. I am not normally constipated but charcoal made me very constipated -- and this, during a pulse when I most needed to eliminate toxins. It also made me extremely weak as though I were not absorbing nutrients from food. It was awful.Just my experience.
