A Turn of Good Luck
It was my lucky day today. I met with a naturopathic doctor who who specializes in endocrine issues. She is also knowledgeable about Lyme disease.
We will be doing some testing for adrenals, stool analysis, more thyroid tests and food sensitivy test. She will be working with my CAPi doctor too. Just too good to be true--my luck has changed.
I am still having hyperthyroid symptoms but some things are better. Rash on my back is going away. Still having pain and pressure in my eyes and not sleeping well. My heart was really getting ragged from all the palpitations so I had the prescription for Atenolol filled. It slowed down my heart beat to normal.
The infection (I am assuming it is viral) flared on Tues when I went back to work. I came home and did some "Carpet Bombing" with lots Lauricidin, oregano oil and olive leaf extract. Was able to use the sauna without worrying about heart rate. Then slipped under the covers with a heating pad to sweat longer. Did this for two days and feel better. Will do it again tonight.

Yes, I now get this. It is so hard to navigate all the facets of this. With all the stress this year, I was probably taxing the adrenals.
Funny thing about this naturopath is that her office is right on a street I drive everyday going to work. But I never noticed because she has a small office upstairs in the back of the building. I found her on the Web.

Raven... thyroid meds
Raven... thyroid meds should never be given unless the adrenals are tested first. This is exactly what can happen. Standard Merck Manual (and thyroid med insert) info, but most doc's don't pay attention to it) .... were you given the T3 w/o your adrenals being tested? Sounds like you are on the right track!

Thanks for your support
Thanks for your support everyone.
She thinks that because I have been taking T3 and Iodoral (pushing the thyroid) that it could have taxed the adrenals and that can impair the immunei system. Having the thyroid go full tilt boogie has probably really toasted them.
Will post again when I know more. And yes, I have been through the wringer!!!!
We are also going to work on a gradual chelation plan to address the heavy metals.
Luck, luck lucky!!

Great news Raven, you are blessed to be near and have access to these doctors. It willl be very interesting to hear of what her testing finds. Definitely a better track than the endo!
Yes, the atenolol helps..... I still take it occasionally (actually had to take one today).
