Thank you for thiswonderful candid photo.  What a beautiful animal.  Animals and photos of them always boost my sense of well being.

Thanks Denise - you have got to grips with this image editing better than I have - and I call myself a web designer! Back to the drawing board I think..

There are hundreds of ponies plus donkeys and occasionally pigs roaming in the forest here; they have the right of way on the roads through the forest - although there are always the thickos who think that it is "fun" to speed.

I am new to this area and hopefully this treatment will allow me to explore it more in the months/years to come.

hmmm, wild pigs, boars? & horses, kewel.

We have wild horses here that date back to the Spanish coming to North America.  They are fast disappearing as they graze ranchers grasslands leaving less for the cattle.

I have a new Nikon D80 or 200 on my Christmas wish list this year along with the lenses I want etc.  It will be my first digital slr so I am looking forward to putting together some outstanding compositions Tongue out after I figure out how to use the thing....lots of stuff n things to master.

hmmmm... I might be better off picking up a paint brush & put oil to canvas?? I am electronically challenged & still befoggled with ears a ringing.

It sounds positively enchanting where you are.

Here in NYC we have the pigeons and a few sparrows, barn finches, etc.  Not too exotic that is for sure.

So I look to my cat Chloe for a touch of the wild and wonderful.

Yes, there are the famous hawks that built their nests on one of the most expensive old high buildings on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park and they are amazing.

You have a real eye and captured such a graceful picture.  More please!

I don't know why you think I have gotten a grip on this image editing -- not yet for sure.  But thanks anyway.

Years ago I had a 35mm SLR but found that the amount of lenses etc that had to be lugged around was such a performance that I sold it.

Ruth: no boars that I know of... the forest was planted for Henry 8th to hunt in so I guess that he disposed of them.
