3rd PULSE done

Finished 3rd blog -- 5 days.  I dislike them tremendously but I think it's because of normal reactions to metroi vs CPNi die-off -- extremely tired, weak.  I hope not.  I feel that my MSi is progressing to the point that I can't go very far at all with my rollator like I used to.  The reason I think I'm progressing instead of CPN die-off is because this progression began before I started CAPi.  I have never been tested; DO YOU THINK I SHOULD?  On the positive, I got a beautiful Himalyian kitten yesterday -- I think I'm calling her Baby Bleu -- I'll post a picture of her one of these days.

Ok Mary Ann this makes

Ok Mary Ann this makes sense now. I'm afraid that the CAPi does that to you. It makes all of us feel worse in the beginning and I know how hard that is for MSi ers when they see their precious mobility dwindelling.

Testing is not a sure way of telling if you have a cpni infection.   A reaction to NACi is just as good as any blood test.   Ella started during a relapse and the treatment did not make things any better in the short term, but it eventually did put a stop to her relapse.

You must take measures to reduce porphyriai symptoms and endotoxinsi. So plenty of Chlorella, charcoal and Questran if you can get a prescription for it. Also Ella takes low doses of steroids when she is suffering from a increase in her symptoms. You might also give yourself a bit more time between pulses. Ella did not start small pulses until she had been into the treatment for 6 months. And it took another 6 months to work up to a full pulse.

Hang on in there....

Loving a pet can be very

Loving a pet can be very beneficial for your health, both mentally and physically. I have always had my kitties and they make me feel better when I feel sick and down. They seem to know and won't leave my side. I had to say good bye to my kitty of many years this past year and I miss his intuitive nature so much. Our younger female is rather selfish, but she is still sweet. Enjoy Baby Blue.

I am going to start my third pulse next week, likely Tuesday. I too have SPMSi. I started Wheldon CAPi May 1, 2008. I don't expect instand results, although I have had many improvements already. I hope that you feel better soon and your MS gives you some reprieve. You very likely are feeling some die off effects as you are taking the abxi and not all are MS symptoms. I do feel a sort of exasterbation of symptoms while on the flagyli pulses.

Take care and keep the faith.

Hi Mary Ann, I felt

Hi Mary Ann, I felt exactly as you do now at just about the same time into the process. I began my CAPi during a very unpleasant downward progression which seemed to hold stable for a short while and then the small improvments I had felt disappeared. I then went through approx 4 months when nothing good happened and many times I said to my partner that I thought things might be getting worse.

I can now recognise that the symptoms were the effects of the abxi killing the bacteria and my body's fight to dispose of the die-off products. I have often found it difficult to clearly determine what effects are being caused at whichever stage and sometimes it was all too easy to attribute it to the MS. One thing I am sure about is that despite all the effects I have felt, I have never dropped below the standard of function that I started with for any length of time that could in any way be termed a relapse.

So to get to the end of this ramble, I really think that you need to stick at this. Three pulses in is far too soon to expect results and I felt at rock bottom for about 6 pulses more than you before I saw much. Keep on and remember you are in this for the long haul.

Onward and upward
